Château Poumey
The origin of Château Poumey dates back to 1720. It is the property of Jeanne-Thérèse de Pomiers, whose husband is a squire and advisor to the King. The current building was built by an English merchant based in Bordeaux, René Al-fred Morton. He rebuilt the vineyard in 1871. In 1988, the city of Gradignan bought Château Poumey, the last winery in the town. In 1995, it entrusted the operation to Château Pape Clément, a classified cru of Graves.
Since 2020, the Domaine de Chevalier, Cru Classé de Graves à Léognan, has been responsible for the wine’s future on behalf of the city of Gradignan
