Château Giscours
It all really began in 1552, when Pierre de Lhomme, a wealthy draper from Bordeaux, bought the noble house of «Guyscoutz», built up a vast estate around it and planted the very first vines. The wine adventure was on its way and the successors of this rich merchant were able to contribute their contribution to this formidable building. It was in the 19th century, under the impetus of the Promis, the Pescatore and other Cruse that Giscours adorned itself with its most beautiful costumes: transformation of the castle into a neoclassical palace, development of a park with rare essences by the landscape architect Eugène Bülher, modernization of production tools with the construction of huge farm buildings, including the famous Ferme Suzanne.
