3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the Château Calon Ségur extends over 94 ha of vineyards in the town of Saint-Estèphe north of Pauillac at a sixty kilometers from Bordeaux. The name of the Castle would come from a small boat “Calon” used in the Middle Ages to transport wood from one bank to another of the Gironde.
