Château Picque Caillou is located on the outskirts of Bordeaux, in the heart of the historic birthplace of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. A close neighbour of the prestigious Châteaux Haut-Brion and Pape Clément, this 23-hectare vineyard bears the evocative name of a stony terroir whose origins lie in the millennia-old overflows of the Garonne. In 2006, Paulin Calvet took over the day-to-day management of the vineyard and provided a decisive impetus that was soon noticed by many wine professionals for the quality and consistency of the Picque Caillou wines. This wine is remarkable for its balance and delicacy, very representative of the values of the prestigious Pessac-Léognan appellation.
