The Wines from Loire Valley

The pays Nantais

The Nantes area, with more than 13.000 hectares vineyards, is a particulary favoured region : besides delicious varietals wines, it presents two original regional "appellations".

Gros Plant Appellation d'Origine VDQS du Pays Nantais

Dry white wine, very refreshing. It is said to be the best wine to drink with oysters... It is also an excellent aperitif.

When sur lie, it shows the nobility of character of a regional appellation, very distinctive.

Muscadet

It is THE great regional "appellation".

A distinction is made between Muscadet Appellation Contrôlée, or generic, and Sèvre et Maine Muscadet, from the names of two rivers crossing the vineyards. Light and refreshing white wine, subtly fragant, it is ideal with sea-food, but also with poultry or spicy cheese.

When sur lie, it is slightly sparking, and shows the incomparable fineness of a great white wine from the Loire Valley.
